I use GIS and data analysis to help plan transportation systems that make access, equity, and sustainability better in cities.
I work as a transit planner and policy analyst for the Baltimore Regional Transit Commission (BRTC). I am seeking my next role in transportation planning or geospatial analysis. A workgroup created by the Maryland Legislature has recommended reorganizing the Maryland Transit Administration, and bills to that effect are moving forward in the 2026 Assembly Session. These bills would dissolve the BRTC to replace it with a new oversight body with similar responsibilities. I am proactively seeking a position that allows me to take the next step in my transportation planning career.

I bring over 20 years of experience in geospatial analysis, transportation planning, and project management. Before the BRTC, I worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for 5 years. I started as an intern and rose to the role of principal planner in less than four years. I focused on walking, biking, transit, urban highways, aviation, and mobility hubs, working in three different offices of MnDOT during my tenure.

I created a series of print and digital advocacy materials. It was for the Baltimore Regional Transit Commission catered to the 2026 Maryland General Assembly session. The materials highlight the importance of ongoing transit investment in Central Maryland. I managed the concept, copy, layout, and original photography. I produced handouts in 5×7 and 6×9 formats. These were for meetings with legislators, community partners, and riders.

I was the lead analyst and sole author for the Baltimore Regional Transit Commission. I directed a comprehensive workforce study of the Maryland Transit Administration. This study was based on a 2022 report that was updated and expanded. I combined internal HR data, National Transit Database records, and the American Public Transit Association’s 2024 salary survey. This was to benchmark MTA staffing, pay, and vacancies against peer agencies. I translated the findings into concrete policy and implementation recommendations for state leaders.

I created and piloted the BRTC Newsletter in November 2025. Now, I manage it as a core part of my role as a planner and policy analyst. I collaborated with Baltimore Metropolitan Council communications staff, transit providers, and advocacy partners. Together, we shaped its structure, layout, and voice. This ensures residents and riders get a clear monthly snapshot of regional transit news. I lead topic planning, writing, and distribution, focusing on useful content and a steadily growing readership.
